It is our great pleasure to share with you, first of all, the two successful Swiss projects in China. The 4th edition of SwissWeek China which promotes Swiss brands and products in the center of Shanghai, achieved a great success and the Grand Opening of Franke Kitchen World, as one of the Swiss SMEs, marks as the first Franke Showroom in Asia an exciting and important milestone for the Franke Group. Secondly, articles about the G7 Conference from an objective view are included in this Wrap-up. Last but not least, let’s take a look at the current situation and trend of the smartphone market in China.

SWISSWEEK SHANGHAI 2016 HAS ACHIEVED A GREAT SUCCESS AGAIN

Thanks to the great support from the Shanghai Government, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai, the Huangpu District government and the participation of Swissnex, Swiss Club and SwissCham, the SwissWeek Shanghai 2016 has achieved another tremendous success this year. Attended by 25 brands and sponsors, SwissWeek Shanghai welcomed close to 60’000 visitors during the exhibition.

G7 VOWS GROWTH EFFORTS AS JAPAN’S ABE WARNS OF GLOBAL CRISIS

G7 leaders wrapped up a summit in central Japan vowing to use "all policy tools" to boost demand and ease supply constraints. "Global growth remains moderate and below potential, while risks of weak growth persist," they said in a declaration. "Global growth is our urgent priority."

Der Smartphone-Markt ist ein Beleg dafür, wie stark manche Branchen inzwischen von den Launen der chinesischen Konsumenten abhängig sind. Laut dem Marktforschungsinstitut Strategy Analytics wurden in den ersten drei Monaten dieses Jahres weltweit 335 Mio. Smartphones ausgeliefert – und annähernd jedes dritte davon ging nach China. Die schlechte Nachricht lautet: Im Reich der Mitte zeichnet sich eine Sättigung des Marktes ab.
